I got a small sample of it when i ordered my Urban Decay Naked series, I LOVE IT!  The makeup goes over it super smooth, it DOES NOT CREASE, and it ain't go'n NO WHERE!

I avoided urban decay for so long because i hate fancy packaging, but i have to say, i'm really impressed with their quality.

Consultations

The trial run, so very important as you can win or lose a client!  I love consultations, typically!  I tend to have a goofy but professional attitude which most clients find to be refreshing.  I don't fit the "makeup artist" stereo type.  I calm there fears of past trial runs at counters or MAC, i talk to them as an individual, their style, their comfort zone.  I design a hair and makeup style that suits them.  Today, i have an exceptionally fun trial!  Last years wedding theme was VINTAGE and i could not be happier!  in my 2 years of weddings i've only done 2 bridal updos, everything has been original designs taken from different eras over the last 10 decades and it has been AMAZING!  Today i will be working with a bride and channeling the beautiful Rita Hayworth

Wedding Season 2011

With over 40 weddings last season, I came to the realization...  I love what I do.  It was a difficult road to that conclusion but I couldn't deny the way my heart felt. As I was packing up my gear I would watch the bride slide into her gown, struggle with her shoes, then finally just as I'm walking out the door my assistance is summoned  to secure the most important part of her ensemble, the brides veil.  Double check my hands to make sure there's no makeup, position my feet away from the dress, and super pin that baby to her head.  And it never fails, I've known these amazing women for little more then a few hours and it happens.  There's the glossy eye'd.... smile.... hug and whisper.. "thank you so much Shyn, you made me feel Beautiful"  and  that's it, that's the moment that I realize why I love my job.
